Where Have All The Christan Youth Gone? - Take a Look at Texas A&M

There has been much buzz about the vibrant Christian life found amoung the Catholic youth at Texas A&M University. Many of us older Christians get worried that Christianity is being abandoned by the youth of our country.Today, at a luncheon meeting of local ministers, we started down this road.  This pessimistic swerve was halted when a young  (20s?) intern Pastor at our largest Lutheran Parish raised her hand and offered a more opptimistic view. Several of us then joined in with examples of American youth involved in Christian churches.

One example I offered was the Catholic student parish at Texas A&M University. Rather than sending you to read nice things being said on many Blogs, I thought it might be helpful to give you some direct links to information about "Aggie" Catholics.

Here is a video with facts about Aggie Catholics’ Parish:

Another video about Aggie Catholics themselves:

The Aggie Student Parish, St Mary's, has a vibrant web site with a wealth of information. It can be visited by clicking here:      http://www.aggiecatholic.org/

There is also an ongoing Blog written by Marcel and Sarah two of the five Catholic Campus Ministers (and 4 interns) working at A&M. To view these essays click here:     http://marysaggies.blogspot.com/

Take a look and get a shot of opptimism about our youth.
